Farewell & Thanks from DWP

Although I will continue to take photos as a hobby, I am dwindling down on sessions left under this business.  I want to thank each & every client over the past 3 1/2 years.  I have had such a great time photographing you, your children, your pets...  I love that I got the chance to watch so many people grow.  Engaged couples to their wedding day, families every year & especially the little ones that I saw from birth to walking, some even before they were born.  :)  I got to work with some of the greatest people & I have made so many friends through this business.  I had about 4 dozen repeat clients - which is AWESOME!  So I put together a little collage for each of you who used my services multiple times.  It is so neat to look at the photos next to one another & not only see how you/your family has changed, but it is nice for me to see the growth in my photography as well.  I only strive to keep getting better.  :)  Thanks again, it has been my pleasure.  I hope to see you all around!  Keep in touch!
Love always,
~D

Pepperoni Rolls & Taco Bake

So I've just recently caught on to the Pinterest wave.  Well I've known about it for about a year & have been "pinning" stuff, but just recently have started actually cooking stuff I've seen on Pinterest.   Success for the most part!

Yesterday I made Pepperoni Rolls.  They were delicious, easy & very kid friendly!  You could substitute other ingredients if you don't like pepperoni.  Olives, sausage, onions, etc. would be good!  Any pizza toppings.
What you need:
1 can crescents
Pepperoni slices (I bought the big bag)
String cheese (4)
Garlic powder (I didn't have so I used garlic salt)
Cooking spray
Pizza sauce

Preheat oven to 375.  Spray a baking sheet with cooking spray.  Separate out all 8 of your crescent triangles.  Place 4-5 pepperoni slices on each triangle.

Take the string cheese & cut each piece in half so you will have 8 chunks.  Place one chunk of cheese on each pepperoni covered crescent.  Roll up each piece & place on greased baking sheet.  Sprinkle with garlic salt.  Bake for 13-15 minutes or until golden.

Warm up pizza sauce to use for dipping.  I bought the Ragu brand marinara.  Enjoy!

Tonight I made Taco Bake.  Y-UM!
What you need:
1 can crescents
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 packet taco seasoning
1 can tomato sauce
1 can diced tomatoes undrained (optional, but I recommend it)
8 oz. sour cream
1 cup shredded cheese (I used colby jack, but any kind would work)
3/4 bag Doritos

Preheat the oven to 350.  Brown the ground beef.

After the beef is cooked, add the taco seasoning, a splash of water, the tomato sauce & diced tomatoes. Simmer, covered for about 5 minutes.  Uncover & simmer about 3 more minutes so some of the liquid will cook down.

Meanwhile in a baking dish, line the crescents along the bottom to create a crust.  Use a rolling pin to flatten out & seam together.

Layer the beef mixture on top of the crescents.

Layer the sour cream on top of that.  I wasn't sure if it'd spread very well so I just kind of blobbed it on there.  All cooked down together just fine.  ;)

Layer the cheese on top of that.  I'm pretty sure I used a little more than a cup.  Just eyeball it!

Crunch up 3/4 bag of Doritos & pour on the top.

This was delicious!  I had steamed broccoli to go with it.  Again, another very easy, kid friendly meal!  I ate one little corner out of this, but I'm guessing it could serve at least a family of 6!  I'll be having leftovers for days.  :)  Well I hope you enjoyed this little recipe blog.  I'm hoping to get a lot more blogged about...recipes, lifestyles, crafts, randomness...oh & an occasional photo here & there.  It still is my passion!
Love y'all!
