Such a special session to me...this was my first baby & I have had the pleasure of photographing her for the past year.  I look forward to photographing her for many more as well!  She did great at her one year session & the cake smash was so much fun!  I hope you enjoy these photos!

ethan + ellie

What an adorable family!  Ethan is such a ham & such an outgoing & smart kid.  He's very proud of being a big brother to his sweet baby sister, Ellie.  Had a great time photographing these two!  Enjoy their photos!

jackson {nine months}

Remember my little 6 month old superman?  Well now we are sporting the 9 month version of Batman Jackson!  He was SO cute & VERY entertaining!  One of my most fun sessions!!  He made the cutest faces & is quite clever for his age.  Love photographing him & already looking forward to his 1 year shoot!  :)

What a busy little 18 month old!  :)  I had a great time taking Arham's photos.  It took him a few minutes to get warmed up, but with the help of his father & some friends, we got some great shots!  He is a very adorable kid & has tons of hair!  I'm so jealous!  :p  Enjoy the photos of this little heartbreaker!

megan {expecting}

I am so glad I got to shoot Megan's maternity photos!  She is just glowing & I cannot wait to meet her little girl in February!  (Maybe she'll decide to grace us on MY birthday!)  :)  We had a lot of fun & a lot of laughs during this session.  I hope you two enjoy your photos!

andrew + emma

My good friend Shannon visited the studio early December & I got to spend an afternoon with her ADORABLE children.  Andrew just turned 2 & got to take some photos on his own & with baby sister, Emma.  They did great & it was tons of fun!  Andrew was cracking me up.  The Smarties trick definitely worked on him.  He loves candy!  Enjoy their session!

This was a VERY fun session for me.  First of all, the couple is made up of my cousin & friend.  Second of all, I got to shoot in Arizona!  :)  I love taking photos for friends while I'm down there visiting.  I'm a little slow on getting this posted, but their wedding was on New Year's Eve & I got to watch it online.  It was sweet & simple & I wish I could've been there!  I hope you enjoy this wonderful couples photos!

happy new year! {2012}

Hello friends & fans!

Ahh...what a journey 2011 was!  Going from doing my first wedding in 2010 to TEN weddings in 2011!  I can only imagine what 2012 would be like...I have a few weddings already booked, which I will still photograph, but I am sad to announce that besides those, I will no longer be shooting weddings.  It was a tough decision, but, for business & personal reasons, it's the best decision for me at this time.  I will still do your engagement photos though!  I LOVE seeing adorable couples & my clients or the nature of weddings have nothing to do with my decision.  I just want all of my previous wedding clients to know that I enjoyed shooting each & every wedding I have done & you were ALL amazing to work with.  It was great experience & an awesome year.  I also want to send a special thank you to my mom, Darla & my best friend, Gus for helping me with weddings.  You don't know how much it was appreciated.  It doesn't seem like a lot, but it is very nerve racking to do those by yourself.  Your support & love is always appreciated.

Also new to 2011 was taking newborn photos, thanks to my dear friend, Tracy & my first newborn client, Scarlett.  I am excited to photograph Scarlett's 1 year photos next week!  I have came a long way with newborn/child photography & now have a studio.  It is small, but gets the job done.  I have an abundance of props & lacking space...but I have a feeling 2012 will bring big changes, too!  Speaking of newborns, my other change for 2012 is my newborn package.  As some of you know, I had a 365 Days of Baby package that I am going to get rid of.  I will now do all sessions as individual sessions, no package deals.   Again I have about a half a dozen clients that have already signed up for this package, which I will still honor for them.

I know this seems like a downer, but the good news is now for EVERY session I do, I am going to do a sort of "rescheduling bonus".  At each photo session, I am going to give out vouchers to receive a discount off your next photo session!  And as always, I will still have monthly specials which can be found here:  https://www.facebook.com/darchellewhiteheadphotography?sk=notes.
